PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

A committed, diligent individual with experience of conducting archival research towards academic and commissioned projects. I have carried out research at the National Archives, the London Metropolitan Archives, the Caird Library and Archive, and the Surrey History Centre. 

 

I am experienced in presenting the results of my research in a clear and actionable format with a high attention to detail, having produced concise reports, and having also further developed them creatively into museum products.

 

I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and I have long-standing experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office tools.

Presenting a specially edited version of a creative piece developed for the PhD. This talk was tailored for an audience which included academics and people with a learning disability.

Contributing to a week-long festival of talks and events. This collaborative presentation with a fellow PhD student was based on themes presented by the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, and sourced from material at the Caird Library and Archive.

Delivering a tailored presentation about the history, and current context, of Normansfield to the ‘Heritage Hub’, a consultative group of deaf and disabled people involved in a project aiming to bring to light places of historical significance to disability history.
